In 1992 Iqbal Masih took a stand to end child labour in Pakistan. This idea has spread to protect children throughout the world, his message and depth spread to his name to helping all children in child labour to protect their lives. Iqbal Masih was sold to a carpet factory when he was four because his family were running low on funds and needed help paying bills and people off.
After four years of working for the carpet factory he escaped, but two months later he was caught by Pakistan police. He was sent back to the carpet factory and he escaped again, this time he got out of Pakistan and started spreading the word of ending child labour once and for all.
by the time he spread the word and went back to Pakistan, he was shot. Some people thought it was a farmer, and others thought it was a carpet factory mafia, but it is still unknown till this day.
