Leadership Day

Leadership day was held at Spencer park, All of Belfast year 7's were there to do leadership day to try to become a leader next year at Belfast. There were 6 challenges and 6 groups, I was in group 6 and we went around the whole park doing activities to test our leadership and communication skills towards others. These challenges included, A Leader chain over the parks Condor, Climbing up a twirly slide in our socks and we had to make a strategy all together from how to get the whole team up to complete the challenge. Then a multi challenge rope climb that we raced up all together at one put, that (in my opinion) the easiest challenge of that day. Then there was a flying fox were by the en of the activity all of my group had to be on one flying fox and if we did that before the end we could just have fun with the flying fox. Then there was a tight rope activity which was really engaging for me because someone was leader of the activity and only they could speak to tell them there strategy to how to get across a ring bar without failing. Last but no least the blind folded walk, with this someone from our group was at the front blind folded and the people behind would tell the person where things were in this challenge.

My Speech

Katie Elizabeth Piper was a nobody when she was with her ex-boyfriend just a casual normal person minding her own business, but unfortunately her ex-boyfriend was abusive so she dumped him at it was the worst thing that she could possibly do,

Who is Katie Piper?

Katie was born in October 1983 to parents David and Diane and lived in Andover, Hampshire, UK where she trained as a beautician after leaving school. Shortly afterwards, she began modelling, taking part in various shoots for national newspapers and was runner-up of the 2006 Miss Winchester beauty pageant.

What happened to Katie Piper? Pt. 1

In February 2008, Katie started a relationship with Daniel Lynch after the pair began messaging on Facebook. But just two weeks into their romance, Katie started having doubts and he later attacked her in a London hotel room. Katie then went back to her flat in Golders Green and two days later, Lynch demanded she go to a nearby internet cafe.

What happened to Katie Piper? Pt. 2

However, it was a trap and Lynch had arranged for accomplice Stefan Sylvestre to wait outside her flat and throw sulphuric acid into her face. Katie was rushed to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for emergency treatment as the acid had severely burned her face and blinded her in her left eye. She was put in an induced coma for 12 days and had to undergo skin graft procedures.

What is her wealth?

Katie Piper's net worth is $3 million, This is one of the highest net worth of all those competing this year. That was 2018 my opinion is I think she is up to a net-worth of 12 million dollars in 2020 and 15 million by 2021.

What did Katie Piper’s attacker get?

Lynch received two life sentences for the attack, and will serve a minimum of 16 years in prison.

Meanwhile his accomplice, Stefan Sylvestre - who actually threw the sulphuric acid in Katie's face - will serve a minimum of six years. In 2018, it came to light that Stefan would be released and Katie released an emotional statement on Instagram following the news.

Is Katie Piper married?

If there are any Katie Piper admirers reading this, we're sorry to be the ones to break it to you, but yes, Katie Piper is a married woman. Happily, since the attack, Katie's life has just got better and better, and on November 6 2015 she tied the knot.

What is the main conclusion about this speech?

I think the main conclusion for this speech is that she was a really beautiful woman before Stefan Sylvestre threw the acid on her face and melted, we also know that she can still model the same that she was doing before the incident. She is an inspiration towards other people.

and that was my speech.

Thank you so much for listening to this speech!!

Iqbal Masih

In 1992 Iqbal Masih took a stand to end child labour in Pakistan. This idea has spread to protect children throughout the world, his message and depth spread to his name to helping all children in child labour to protect their lives. Iqbal Masih was sold to a carpet factory when he was four because his family were running low on funds and needed help paying bills and people off.

After four years of working for the carpet factory he escaped, but two months later he was caught by Pakistan police. He was sent back to the carpet factory and he escaped again, this time he got out of Pakistan and started spreading the word of ending child labour once and for all.
by the time he spread the word and went back to Pakistan, he was shot. Some people thought it was a farmer, and others thought it was a carpet factory mafia, but it is still unknown till this day.

Poem

Acrostic poem of Blackbeard

Bushy and room for the coins,
Luxurious and rich,
As I can see,
Cant he be want you need,
King of the seas, north and south,

Blackbeard will rule the world,
Especially with his crew,
As old as a crocodile,
Roars like a grumpy old man,
Drastic and tough, he will win.

7 reasons why there is an acknowledgements page

1. Sometimes especially when you're an unpublished or emerging writing You can begin to feel like your writing will never compare to the novel that you find in the bookstore.
2. While reading the acknowledgements section of Hannah pittards listen to me I learned that she borrowed the names of her friends Mark and Maggie for the names of her two main characters.
3. While reading a book, you get to know the characters. While reading the acknowledgement, you get to know the author. You get to see a small slice of who they are.
4. In the acknowledgements the author will sometimes thank the experts who assisted with research or pay tribute to their favorite writing locations.
5. If you've just finished a long, crazy book, you should read the acknowledgments.
6. There's nothing better than reading genuine gratitude If you're having a bad day, the acknowledgements are sure to cheer you up.
7.Sometimes I read the acknowledgements section.
